Whoopsie Piggle is the unfolding story of a single mother of three who takes up with a lifelong bachelor and, shortly thereafter, they add two more children to the mix. Two forty-somethings, four boys who are currently ages 21, 18, 15, 5, and a two-year-old girl who happens to have Down syndrome. None shy with their opinions, which they all have in abundance.
When Leif was a baby, Max would throw him in the air and say, “Whoopsie piggle!” Both words wormed their way into our family colloquialisms. We “piggle” dinner to the table or “whoopsie us up some fun.” Occasionally I am the Mrs. Whoopsie to Max’s Mr. Piggle. Yes, it can get pretty silly. And other times pretty serious. That’s what it’s all about.
